Fundraiser Concert at Moelyci

In September 2017, Hilary Davies will be commencing study towards a Masters in Music Therapy at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, London.

Alexandra Wilson is kindly organising a Fundraising event to support Hilary towards her college fees and other expenses during the course.

Hilary will play a varied concert including flute pieces, compositions, improvisations and songs. There will be an opportunity to sing some songs together from her songbook "Sacred Songs from Around the World". There will also be food available, and a raffle of complementary therapies (massage, aromatherapy etc.) donated by local therapists.

Jenny and Harmony Improvisation Concert

Multi instrumentalists Jennifer Bliss Bennett and Hilary Harmony Davies will perform free improvisation in varied styles and modes along with perhaps some Renaissance and Baroque ground basses and divisions, and some premieres of new compositions, on a wide selection of instruments including flute, recorder, violin, viola da gamba, piano and harp. Saturday 25th February at 1pm, at the Church of St John, Glastonbury, entry by donation.

Spring Equinox Gorsedd Proclamation

The theme for this year's contest for the Bardic Chair of Ynys Witrin will be announced at the Spring Equinox Gorsedd Proclamation at Glastonbury Market Cross, on Thursday 20th March at 6pm. There will also be performances of poetry, song and storytelling from the Bards of Ynys Witrin: please speak to Lisa or Harmony on the day if you would like to perform on the theme "Spring/Spring Equinox".

Bardic Seasonal Gathering at the Market Cross on the 22nd of December at 6pm. Storytelling, poetry, song and possibly some brief guided visualisation on a solstice/winter theme.

Sacred Songs from Around the World

On Sunday 15th December at the Buddleia Bar, Chilkwell Street, Glastonbury, there will be another informal singing session of sacred songs from around the world, led by Harmony. This is a family friendly event, supervised children are welcome.

We will be singing from 4.30- 6.30pm, musicians are welcome to bring instruments. Songbooks provided.

The songbook, published by Harmony, contains songs from many spiritual paths and cultures around the world such as Hindu, Buddhist, Native American, Celtic, Christian, Jewish, Arabic, South American and Yoruba.

By donation (magic hat). Thank you.

Flute Recital - St Margarets Chapel

Hilary Harmony Davies will be performing solo flute works by composers including J.S. Bach, C.P.E Bach and Debussy, as well as J.S. Bach on solo viola da gamba, in St Margarets Chapel (the Magdalene Chapel), Glastonbury.

Admission £5, proceeds to aid the restoration and upkeep of the chapel and gardens, a beautiful and tranquil haven.
